New Features 🆕
Predefined Report Card Comments
The latest update to our report card system introduces a streamlined way for teachers to provide feedback through predefined comments. This enhancement aims to save time and ensure consistency in student evaluations, making the reporting process smoother for educators.
A dedicated page titled "Report Card Comments" is now available under the report card plugin for easy management of these comments by the admins.
The interface has been enhanced with a combo-box that allows teachers to select standard comments while still being able to write custom feedback.
If no predefined comments exist, teachers will only see a text box, ensuring clarity in the interface.
Sample emails for Weekly/Daily Progress Emails
Administrators can now send sample emails instantly to themselves or a specified email address. A sample progress email for one randomly selected student from each grade level will be sent shortly after the request is made, enhancing the testing process.
New Functionalities
Core Enhancements
New Term End Date Form Fields
Added fields to set end dates for Q1, Q2, Q3, and S1 directly within the Core Plugin Settings. If these fields are left blank, the system will automatically use the start date of the next term as the default end date, ensuring transitions between grading periods without gaps.Export File Naming
Exported files will now use descriptive filenames that include the plugin name, report type, and timestamp for better organization.
Behavior Management
Conduct Log Filter Enhancement
The admins now have access to a multi-select combo box for filtering violations, allowing for faster and more flexible review processes.Conduct Log Warnings
Added warnings for re-run and undo periods with reset dates earlier than the latest run date. These warnings help prevent inconsistencies in behavior data and maintain data integrity.Referrals List UI Adjustment
Updated the Referrals List to display the Referrer’s Statement directly in the list view and CSV exports. This ensures better visibility and enhances report accuracy.Run Periods List Update
Enhanced the Run Periods List with additional columns, including Created Date, Modified Date, Undo Date, Re-Run Date, and Last Modified/Run By. These updates improve record-keeping, data tracking, and logging, providing greater visibility into actions performed.
Attendance Management
Habitual Absence Alert Update
Introduced an option to exclude unenrolled students from the habitual absence alert, enabling more accurate and relevant notifications.Attendance Alert Notification Content
Enhanced email notification content to include specific attendance status dates, minimizing confusion and improving clarity for parents and students.
Mentor-Mentee Dashboard Enhancements
Updated the Mentor-Mentee Dashboard to display term-specific progress and grades, allowing mentors to track mentees' academic performance more effectively within each term.
External Reporting Enhancements
Enhanced the External Report Upload feature to allow selection of specific State ID when uploading reports. This provides more flexibility when presenting external student reports on parent/student dashboard.
Registered Parent Accounts
Student Count Display: The parent account invitation page now shows the number of students linked to at least one parent account.
Enhancements and Resolutions
SIS Sync Unenrollment: Resolved the issue where students were being un-enrolled from courses prematurely, even when the drop date was in the future. This fix ensures that students remain enrolled until after the official drop date.
Assignment Reports Popup Window: Fixed the problem of multiple pop-up windows in the assignment reports, ensuring only one instance is open at a time for better usability.
Staff ID NaN Issue: Addressed the NaN (Not a Number) error encountered with staff IDs, which was affecting the filtering options.
Office Referral Step Count: Updated the step count for students in office referrals to populate correctly after admin acceptance, ensuring transparency in the referral process.
Disposition Message Delivery: Corrected the messaging system to ensure that instant messages sent during dispositions correctly appear on students' messaging pages. Notifications are now sent properly regardless of user settings.
Dashboard Placeholders: Fixed issues with grade and quarter placeholders on student and parent dashboards, enhancing the notifications related to assignments.
