Description

Key Capabilities

Grade Categories

Organize and structure grade items within courses.

Weighting and aggregation methods, drop lowest / keep highest score rules, and term/category hierarchies.

Grade reports

Review site-wide and cohort-level reporting and academic analytics.

Term Grade and GPA reports, Grade History tracking and PDF export, Achievement Reports, and Honor Roll exports.

Grade Settings

Manage site-wide administrative rules and grade display defaults.

Passing thresholds, grade display formats, scale course GPA inclusion/exclusion rules, and automated late submission penalty schedules.

Key Requirements & Best Practices

  1. Course eligibility for reports: For courses to be included in academic summaries, GPA rollups, and term report cards, they must be designated as Official courses and have at least one Grading Category configured in the gradebook.

  2. Aggregation consistency: When using weighted aggregation methods, verify that category weights sum correctly across each grading term to prevent unintended point skews.

  3. Late submission penalties: If automated late penalties are enabled in Grade Settings, deductions are calculated against the assignment due date and reflected in the student gradebook with penalty indicators.
