Tips & Troubleshooting

Issue

What to check

Parents not receiving behavior notifications

Verify the From email setting. If using "Custom email", ensure the address is properly authenticated (SPF/DKIM). Check that the parent's email address is populated in the student record.

Tardy entries not being created automatically

Ensure Tardy from attendance is enabled, a valid Behavior Category and Step are selected, the correct Tardy periods are checked, and the Tardy code matches what teachers use in attendance.

Dynamic fields showing as raw text in emails

Do not modify the double bracket [[ ]] placeholders. If a placeholder appears as raw text, it may be misspelled — compare against the Dynamic Fields Reference table above.

Special program warning not appearing

Enable the special program indicator in Radix Core Plugin Settings. Verify the student has an active special program flag in their demographics (School → User → Student).

Voided entries not showing on overview report

Enable Show voided (reset) behavior entries on the behavior overview report in Section 1. Voided entries will display with an asterisk (*) next to the point value.

Team leaders cannot see behavior entries

Enable Allow team leaders to see all behavior entries for their team grades. Verify the team leader role and team grades are configured in Radix User Settings.
